Hunting Dragons is a management consulting company providing the skills and experience to deliver solutions and strategies for business challenges. We have been in business since 2008 and now have offices in both South Africa and the United Kingdom.

    We find ourselves specialised in the beverage space in Africa, however we have run numerous FMCG projects outside of beverages and outside of Africa.

  • Business strategy, design, and rehabilitation.

    Brilliant strategy is essential if one wants to succeed in a competitive environment. We have many case studies of helping businesses become focussed on the critical things that matter.

We have delivered well over 100 projects in 19 countries over the past 12 years (mainly in Africa but also in USA & UK). We believe in keeping things simple by listening carefully, and delivering just what you need when you need it.

Our model is an associate model

We are not one of the BIG consulting companies, in fact, we are not even a medium sized company. Instead our approach is different and free from huge overheads. This means that once we understand what you require, we bring in the right independent consultants, with the best experience and knowledge, to match the project needs. We have a vast network of highly qualified and experienced consultants from business analysts to ex country MD’s. This gives us great flexibility to tailor our involvement to the project at hand. Our real strength is our understanding of route to market, beginning with customers and consumers, and then building bespoke solutions that work! It is this strength that allows us to pull together projects that often span many countries and business units.

We have offices in the United Kingdom and in South Africa, and we are not afraid to travel!

The projects we have been awarded are wide and varied. We have built a complex model to manage the intricate cash flow timing detail behind a business importing many SKU’s from many countries around the world. We estimated the impact of pricing strategies on volumes in a complex trading environment in order to help management make the best of a bad situation. We have assisted companies to relook their entire operations over multiple countries resulting in millions of dollars in real savings. We have built dynamic reporting suites. We have even defined ‘what good looks like’, and revolutionised an international business’s outbound logistics. We have optimised warehouses across the continent, facilitated strategy sessions, trained squadrons of sales & operations staff, and built many, many business cases for investment.
